Advancing education, technology, and workforce pathways for the justice-impacted community.
The Prison Modernization Project (PMP) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing prison reform through the modernization of educational, technological, vocational, and rehabilitative frameworks.
PMP was founded on a simple but urgent belief: rehabilitation must evolve to reflect the realities of today’s world. Individuals who are committed to change should have access to the same tools, technology, education, and opportunities necessary for success beyond incarceration.
Through coordinated partnerships with correctional institutions, educational organizations, public officials, and private sector leaders, PMP is building a comprehensive rehabilitation network that transforms incarceration into preparation.
At the core of this work is lived experience. PMP is led by individuals who understand firsthand the challenges of incarceration and reentry—bringing insight, credibility, and purpose to every aspect of the organization’s work.
The goal is not only to improve individual outcomes, but to redefine how rehabilitation is approached across systems nationwide.
